Nostalgia Kinky

With three different versions of La Marge all now available in glorious HD, via the incredible German mediabook Emmanuelle ’77 edition, Borowczyk’s masterpiece has been thankfully appearing in a number of places. Here’s some information for both American and British fans of Sylvia’s greatest work. For my friends over in the UK, London’s The Nickel is presenting the film on the evening of September 17th with programmer and filmmaker/historian Craig Williams hosting.

Here in the States, The Criterion Channel is streaming La Marge, along with Borowczyk’s Behind Convent Walls. I can only hope that this means Criterion might someday release La Marge as part of their collection on Blu-ray and 4K but as of right now we just have it streaming, which is itself amazing after so many years.
I so want Sylvia Kristel to be in The Criterion Collection, hopefully soon via LA MARGE and ALICE.
